Appeal Against Refusal Cricklewood, LB Brent
July 2024
We successfully appealed a the decision by LB Brent to refuse planning permission for alterations and extensions. The proposed works included a rear dormer window, a dormer extension to outrigger and two front rooflights to dwellinghouse. The main consideration for the proposal was the impact on the original building and the surrounding area. In our appeal we demonstrated that the proposed dormer and roof extension would not be prominent from public vantage points and would not result in an unduly dominant or incongruous addition. The appeal inspector agreed that the proposals could be incorporated into the area, without appearing alien or out of character with the surrounding roofscape. The appeal was therefore allowed.
